COURT ORDERED EVALUATIONS
Karen has been conducting court ordered evaluations since 1983. These evaluations are ordered when mediation or alternative efforts have not resulted in a resolution of the decision making and parenting issues. The evaluation includes individual interviews with the divorcing parents, observation interviews with each parent and the minor children, interviews with the minor children individually, and often a joint interview with the parents. It also includes collateral contacts with therapists, school staff, day care providers and any other significant individuals involved with the family. The evaluator makes recommendations to the court regarding decision making, parenting time, supportive services, or recommendations regarding other relevant issues.
